About the Programme

Isles in Resonance brings together Hong Kong flutist Ivy Chuang and pianist Norman Lee for an intimate evening of musical dialogue in Kuching.

Through flute and piano performance, conversation and artistic exchange, the programme explores how musical traditions travel across regions, cultures and histories. Bridging Western classical repertoire with Asian and regional sonic inspirations, the event invites audiences into a shared listening experience shaped by resonance, dialogue and place.

Set within the historic Old Court House in Kuching, Isles in Resonance offers more than a concert—it is a meeting of artistic voices, cultural perspectives and communities across Hong Kong and Sarawak.

Norman Lee

Norman Lee is a Hong Kong pianist, educator and Steinway Artist, known for his sensitive collaborative musicianship. He performs in recital, chamber music and educational settings, bringing a thoughtful and responsive musical partnership to cross-cultural programmes.

Ivy Chuang

Hong Kong flutist Ivy Chuang is known for her expressive artistry and cross-cultural musical vision. Her work explores connections between classical traditions, contemporary interpretation and regional inspiration.
